Standard A grade quarter sawn walnut veneer has a tendency to be even in color and commonly allows for some defects such as occasional pin knots and very mild figure or flashing. It is usually book matched with the grain running along the 8' dimension. Walnut is a hardwood of medium density, very easy to deal with and sturdy. It is light with an even moderately coarse texture and medium porous grain.
