Standard A grade quarter sawn walnut veneer tends to be consistent in color and typically allows for some flaws such as occasional pin knots and very slight figure or flashing. It is normally book matched with the grain running along the 8' dimension. Walnut is a hardwood of medium density, really easy to deal with and sturdy. It is light with a consistent moderately coarse texture and medium porous grain.
